I shouldn’t have ran.

But…

I got scared, who doesn’t on there wedding, still…

I hurt him.

Now…I’m sitting in the mud, well my wedding dress is destroyed.

And the rain…

It made me feel just,

So disappointed…in myself.

Fear was one thing.

I’d never let it over take me, but it did.

“Kurama!” I shouted, when the demon hit him head on.

Blood.

That’s what I saw first.

Pulling out an arrow, and notching it on my bow.

No longer would I stand aside.

I guess it was because I didn’t know bout her, then.

My daughter.

Are daughter.

Yet, I still haven’t told him.

Maybe this is why.

I ran.

Knowing one day I could wake up and he wouldn’t be there.

We had so much fun planning it.

“Don’t you dare Yusuke!” Keiko threatened.

Keiko was covered in cake.

I started laughing.

I couldn’t help it.

I blinked.

There was cake all over my hair and shirt.

And Keiko was smirking.

Both of us turned to our boyfriends.

“Kagome!”

“Keiko!”

I didn’t get my cake there, thanks to Yusuke.

Then I learned of her.

I dropped the test.

No…was it right?

It had to be wrong.

What if he didn’t want a kid, yet?

I don’t think I’d be able the live…

If he left me.

Alone.

He doesn’t deserve this.

He doesn’t deserve me.

He deserves someone much better.

I heard footsteps, but I could careless.

Someone jerked me up forcing me to look at them.

Yusuke.

“Why did you ran?” He was angry.

I knew…fear.

Would I ever tell him that?

Never.

It wasn’t in  me.

“I don’t know”

His grip on my arm tightened.

“That’s all you have to say!”

“Yusuke!”

I saw Keiko.

She wasn’t in her bridal dress, anymore.

Guess she didn’t want it ruined.

Go figure.

“Let Kagome go!”

He growled, frustrated.

Pushing me away.

I fell down.

“Go back inside Yusuke.”

“Fine”

“Kagome?” I saw Keiko’s shoes in front of me.

Looking up at her, I saw her worried face.

Kneeling down.

“Fear?” She questioned.

Damn.

She could still read me like a book.

I just nodded.

She helped me up.

Together, we began walking back the shrine.

Into the house and upstairs to my room.

Keiko gently pushed me in, and closed the door.

“So…why’d you run?”

My eyes widen.

I looked up to see Kurama, sitting on the windowsill.

His favorite spot.

He still had his tux on, just no jacket and his shirt was unbuttoned at the top.

I had no clue what to say.

“…” Nothing

He turned and looked at me, the first thing I saw were his eyes.

He was heart broken.

And I did it to him.

Great job Kagome.

He was hurting so much more than me.

I sat on the edge of my bed.

Away from him.

“I’m not sure what to say.”

“Why’d you run?”

From the corner of my eye I could see him looking out the window.

“I was afraid.” I whispered.

He heard me.

“Of what?”

“You being gone.”

“Why?” Kurama stood up, and walked over towards me.

I couldn’t look at him.

He lifted my chin forcing me to look right at him.

“Why?” He said, firmer.

“Tell me now!”

“Because I can’t raise a child on my own!” I shouted.

Immediately I slapped my hand over my mouth.

Eyes widening.

No!

I wasn’t suppose to tell him.

I knew this would happen.

Run Kagome!

So I would.

If two arms didn’t stop me.

He pulled me close.

Hugging me tightly, so I couldn’t get away.

“Please don’t hide stuff like this from me.”

He turned me around, so I’d face him.

“I’ll be there, I promise.”

“Thank you” I said, gripping his shirt tightly.

I was so happy.

He’d be there.

For both of us.

Me and her.

I was crying.

“Don’t cry.”

“I’m just so happy” I mumbled.

“And I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner”

“It’s ok”

“I love you” Kurama whispered, pressing his lips to my forehead.

“I love you too.”

“Kurama?”

“Yes?” He asked pulling me back so he could look at me.

“Could we get married?” I asked, playing with the hem of my skirt.

“Like this?”

I nodded.

It would be odd to get married like this, but I think I like this better.

“You may kiss the bride.”

And he did.

Together, we ran back down the aisle, smiling.

I couldn’t believe it.

But it happened.

Now I couldn’t wait for our daughter.

“Honey, could you come here?” I called.

He walked in to the kitchen.

His gaze when right to Mika.

“So that’s what you were smuggling in.” He looked at the cat, in Mika’s arms.

“So Daddy, can we keep her?”

“Eh?”

“Mommy said, it was ok by her.  I just had to ask you.”

“Ok.”

“So?” I asked kneeling beside Mika, looking up at Kurama.

“Yes”

“Yay!” Me and Mika shouted, and jumped on him.

Knocking Kurama over, laughing.
